You can't use a Candle in the Gas Room, you need a Bulseye Lantern, with a sapphire inside or something like that, read Tears of Guthix quest<3.

And that happened to me once, I had my full rune, and all my best stuff on. And I walked in without a candle, and it said; "Flys are attacking you!" or something like that, and I was getting hit with constant 1s!! But I was clicking like made to find the rope to get out, and luckily I did.
