✨ Updates to the HabboxForum Shop ✨


We've recently made some changes to how VIP and username flairs purchased through the HabboxForum Shop work, with both systems now being much more automated!


Here's everything you need to know.





🎨 Username Flairs


We've made some changes to the way username flairs are handled across HabboxForum.
Flairs are the small icons/decorations displayed alongside your username, giving you another way to customise how you appear around the forum.


Flairs purchased from the HabboxForum Shop are now fully automated!


As soon as you purchase a flair, it will be added to your account and, if you don't already have a flair active, it will automatically appear beside your username.
If you already have an active flair and purchase another one, don't worry as your new flair will still be added to your account, but it will remain paused until you choose to activate it.


⏸️ Pausing & switching flairs


You can switch between any of your purchased flairs whenever you like.
When a flair isn't active, its remaining time is paused. This means its expiry timer doesn't continue counting down while you're using another flair.


For example:
If your flair has 20 days remaining and you pause it to use another flair, those 20 days will still be waiting for you when you activate it again. 🎉
This means you can build up a collection of flairs and switch between them without wasting the remaining time on the ones you're not currently using.


Whenever you purchase a flair, you'll also receive a Private Message confirming your purchase and providing the relevant links.
You can view, activate, pause and switch between all of your purchased flairs here.


Keep an eye on the Shop too - more flairs may appear from time to time! 👀

💎 VIP Changes


We've also automated VIP purchased through the HabboxForum Shop!
Once you've purchased VIP, the relevant VIP usergroup will automatically be added to your account, so there's no need to wait for it to be manually applied.


You'll also receive a Private Message confirming your VIP purchase and providing the relevant links.
You can continue switching your display usergroup in exactly the same way as before.


Simply head to:
User CP → Permission Groups


From there, select the VIP/usergroup you'd like to display and choose "Identify me as a member of this group".
Alternatively, you can go directly to your Permission Groups here.

Tired of messing around with external image hosts just to add an image to your post?

You can now unlock our built-in ImgBB Image Uploader directly from the HabboxForum Shop! 🎉



🛒 What is the ImgBB Image Uploader?

The ImgBB Image Uploader is a new shop item that gives you access to an image upload button directly inside the forum editor.

Once you've purchased access, you'll see an ImgBB Image Upload button when writing your posts.





Simply:

  1. Click ImgBB Upload
  2. Choose an image from your device
  3. Wait a moment while it uploads
  4. The image is automatically inserted into your post


No need to visit an image hosting website, copy links or manually add [IMG] tags. It's all handled for you!



⏰ How long does it last?

Each purchase gives you 1 month* of ImgBB Upload access.

Better still, purchases stack!

For example:

Purchase it once = 1 month of access

Purchase it twice = 2 months of access

Purchase it six times = 6 months of access

If you already have time remaining when you buy another one, the additional month is simply added onto the end of your existing access.

Your access will automatically expire once your purchased time runs out.



🖼️ What happens when my access expires?

Nothing happens to images you've already uploaded!

Any images you've previously uploaded and added to your posts will remain in your posts as normal.

You'll simply lose access to the forum's ImgBB upload button until you purchase the shop item again.


🔒 Is the uploader restricted to people who bought it?

Yes.

Having the shop item gives your account access to the uploader for the duration you've purchased.

Depending on forum-wide settings, we may occasionally make the uploader available to everyone in selected forums or categories too (such as during HxSS)

If you have active purchased access, however, you will not be restricted to those forums or categories.



📋 Upload Logging

For moderation, maintenance and abuse prevention, use of the uploader is logged.

The logs can include information such as:

  • The forum account that performed the upload
  • The date and time
  • The forum
  • Related thread/post information where available
  • Whether it came from the ImgBB Button, a direct Imgur image, or an Imgur album
  • Whether it happened while creating a thread, replying or editing a post
  • The resulting ImgBB image URL


These logs are available to authorised forum administrators.
Any abuse and you will be banned from the ImgBB Uploader and no token refunds will be given.



❓ Do I need an ImgBB account?

No!

You don't need to create or connect your own ImgBB account.

Just purchase the item, use the button in the editor and the forum handles the upload for you.



🛒 Ready to use it?

Head over to the HabboxForum Shop, under "Misc" tab and purchase the ImgBB Image Upload - 1 Month item and your access will be activated automatically
(no need to wait for an admin to give you access)

Buy additional months whenever you want and they'll be added to your remaining access.

Upload. Insert. Post. Done. 📸
