Sir Patrick Stewart dies aged 86

British shakespearean actor best known for his roles in Star Trek and X-Men has died

RIP, very out of the blue passing.

Given his recent performances, there is a lot of speculation that he chose assisted dying in California after being diagnosed with dementia sometime earlier this year, rather than dying from the disease itself. But nothing confirmed either way.

Je souhaitais simplement dire Salut.

Marine Le Pen launches 2027 French presidential campaign

The victor will replace President Emanuel Macron, president of France since 2017

I have supported her for over 15 years.

This time, she is polling as the clear winner against every potential runoff. It's seismic.

As Andrew Neil recently tweeted, the French presidency (in April) is now hers to lose.

North Sea driling approved at Jackdaw gas field site

Government issues license for the gas site in British territorial waters

It is not often I get to post good news but here some is.

Approving extractions for our own gas and oil fields should be a given, but our stupid energy policy during the 2010s and 2020s has led to licenses being denied whilst our energy prices climbed to the highest in the western world with ridiculous renewables. And get this, one of the stupidest things you'll ever hear: while we denied licenses for our own companies to supply ourselves with our own energy resources, we were importing energy from Norway at a premium price. Now where does Norway get its energy from? It's own gas and oil fields in the North Sea. A policy so stupid it makes me want to scream.

Greetings to all members! Newbie here.

The Pope was in the operating room approximately three hours, while the operation itself lasted about 90 minutes. The doctors said it was successful and there were no complications.

Pope Leo awoke normally after surgery and, following a brief period of observation, returned to his room on the hospital’s 10th floor, according to the statement.

Oh wow. I've already lived under four popes: John Paul II, Benedict XVI, Francis and Leo XIV.

No sources saying whether it has been caught early or spread, or what stage it is at.

Pokemon World a browser adventure for Pokemon fans

PokeWorld — Fri, 09 Oct 2026 20:45:27 GMT

Hey Habbox! I'm sharing my own website in the showcase section: Pokemon World, a free-to-start browser MMO for Pokemon fans.

If you enjoy exploring online worlds and collecting things, the idea should feel familiar. Choose a first partner, head out into the world and gradually build your team. You can try the game as a guest before creating an account to keep your progress, and there is no download.

The adventure includes catching, training and evolving Pokemon, gym battles, PvP, trading, eggs, shiny hunting and clans. It is a custom browser game that launched in March 2026.

Here are two actual screenshots:

Play here: pokemonworld.net

I'd love to hear which part you enjoy most in a browser world: exploring, collecting, battling or meeting other players. Feedback on the first few minutes is welcome too.

The game is free to start, with optional purchases. This is an independent fan project, unaffiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak or The Pokemon Company.
