The day, 21st November 2005 was the tear-breaking day of my life. My poor boyfriend had been hit by a car. Blood oozed out of his head and flooded the road while on-lookers watched with shocking emotions. I felt helpless, the only thing I could do was stay with him and hope for the best.
I ran into the hospital main entrance and screamed for Steven. I did sound pretty stupid at first considering many patients and staff were looking at me strangely. The best thing was to talk in a civilized manner.
" Hello, can you tell me were I can find Steven Morfield " I asked
" He was brought in 10 minutes ago, doctors are operating on him right now, you will be able to see him later " She replied smiling
" Will he be ok? WILL HE BE OK " I asked
" Well there is a 50/50 chance " She replied with a distraught look
I stumbled onto the reception floor and just soaked the floor. I couldnt lose him. Not after all of this. He was mine, he was my boyfriend. I couldnt lose him. He was the best person ever.
I seemed to have slept for over 30 minutes when looking at my watch and paced quickly to the recpetion office.
" Can I see Steven now? " I asked trying to catch my breath.
" Yes, he is in ward 9B, I will take you there " She replied.
I walked with one of the nurses down the hospital. When I passed there were people being sick all over the place. It gave me a bad stomach. I could smell diseases all flooding up, clogging the air. I couldnt even breath.
Walking into ward 9, there were 3 sections. 9A, 9B and 9C.. When I walked through I noticed a sign..

This didnt look too good. I walked up with the Nurse to 9B and saw so many beds. Actullay tenths of them. Atleast 40 beds with old, young and children there. Alot of them had tubes running through there noses and bodies. Cuts and bruises were spread across the faces. Broken arms, broken legs, broken ribs, cracked heads. It looked like a horror movie. I felt sick.
I walked up to Stevens bad and there he lay asleep. His face was covered with bruises. The blood had been finished and he had lots of broken ribs. I cried with tears soaking onto his arm and held his hand tightly. Suddenly he opened his eyes and frightened me to death!
" A-a-m-my " Steven stuttered softly
" I'm here hun, I will stay with you, dont worry " I replied weeply. Steven nodded and then drifted back off to sleep. How could this happen.
" Amy, you have to understand, Steven may have some problems in later life. He may be disabled " The nurse said.
" Nooo! NO NO NO THIS CANT BE NO! " I screamed.
Amy ran out of the hospital in utter disbelief. How could this happen to such a young girl?
