My school do that.
If you're like late and miss registration they ring your parents with this automated voicemail thing saying "Bethany is not at school today" and like you get home and the parents are like "WHY DID YOU SKIP SCHOOL?!"

If you dont go its an hour after school then if you dont go to that its Saturday detention
