30 Seconds between searches..

Why do we have to wait 30 seconds between searches?

Wow, time limits on everything. Thats weird.

I like to work fast Like as soon as i posted. Im on to another thread now i have to waitt ;[

As jin said in another thread it is to limit server lag.

Also this is done on almost all Forums, except it's usually 15 seconds.

to me, it is lag.

Thread will most probably be closed soon anyway but i dont know why we would have to wait to search ?

The truthful reason is:

There have been a few temporary time limits set in place, recently the amount of users on Habbox Forum (mainly from the posting script and searching on the forum) have caused the servers to crash recently yesterday the forum crashed the servers 3 times in one day. So we had to have the forum temporarily disconnected from the internet whilst I came up with a temporary solution.

The limits set in place has improved server load by a great deal and the reports of forum laag or slowness has been reduced to the a record minimum (saving space in my Pm inbox Sweet!)

Until we come up with a solution to the server load problem which we are currently working on the limits will have to stay in place.

The main killer on the forum is the searching, even though people search less than post because the forum is so large the servers are like "YESH STOP WITH ZE SEARCHING AND BROWSE ZE FORUM YOURSELF I CANNAE WORK UNDER ZESE CONDITIONS!" (ya know, like they do :rolleyes:)

I have even had to filter some words from searches I will release full details on the temporary changes
