Depends what you call company and what you call a crowd. Also it depends on the size of the place where you're having it.

mm. Slaughtered sounds like me, but i dont want to turn up to work half sober the next day. And i do want to have a good time on the wednesday night.

Well err, how old are you and how much does it normally take before your drunk? Btw you can have a good time without being slaughtered, but it normally helps ;D

Get absolutely ******, then phone in sick the next day ;) Unless you can't afford to miss a days pay/done that too many times :p
