A "reward" I got the other day.

Before people say it's in the wrong section, it's not, as it's linked to a random event and you can't really call this a reward.

So I wanted to mine some iron at the rocks near yanille but I got the stupid quizmaster random even, so I answered the questions and I took the mystery box. I opened it and I got something really, odd?

You can't do anything with it, only examine it or drop it. The examine message is also shown on the picture ("Phew").

I've had and seen quite a few.

Never seen one. =S But I don't visit the beaches of runescape or search chests.

I always pick the box thing n iv had a few boots i usualy get like 10gp or a steel platebody off them though

No, they're pairs of boots, which you get from Big Net fishing, along with gloves, seaweed, etc...
