Tourettes Syndrome
Yes tourettes syndrome,
I have it :( and I'm not lieing. I have the tic version of tourettes, not the swearing version like Pete. But it's bad as the swearing version.
If anyone else has it. Best thing to do is go on a diet where you don't eat wheat and other things like cola.

It annoys me how people view tourettes as a funny thing. Pete from BB is liked purely because of his disorder, but no-one ever stops to think what it's like for him. Tourettes (apparently) occurs in about 1/100 school-aged persons, and is almost certainly an annoyance to the sufferer, and it's reported that trying to hold back the ticks can actually be painful and draining.
Out of curiosity, what ticks do you get? Twitches and such?

I get twitches mate like hand shaking and head shaking and hum noises

I have minor tourettes, it doesn't really have an affect on me now because of gone through the main stages of puberty, no one really notices that i've got it.
I was really bad when I was about 10 years old, thats when it started and it freaked me out a bit. Through secondary school my mates accepted it, we had laughs and such but no-one bothered me. When I had GCSE's and previous exams it made me twitch alot, stress is a factor that can trigger it. Consuming products with caffeine is also a common trigger.
Fortunately now, its hardly noticeable, but i'm not ashamed of myself when I twitch, just deal with it.
