starting to feel neglected by my family

hi,

im feeling negleted by my family,I walk in the room and say hi they continuue to watch tv as i was walking iwth my dad to work I sed hi he jsut kepteed on moving then ii put my heads up adnd sedHI!!!!!!!!! he just dosnt care about what i really do feel left out my sister got a laptop my dad got a computer and im left with a ccrap old thing,I don't know what on earth to do ive tryed talking to them they never lissen i jsut feel like runing away and just never coming back tbh.

Your in a tough situation (sp?). It can be very annoying when your family ignore you. Are they ignoring you everyday? Have they just started ignoring you? Did you do something wrong? There's lots of questions to ask. Something could of happened, I don't know. Mabye you should speak to your dad/mum in private, and try and tell them what's wrong. If they don't speak and say everything is okay, I really don't know. But take it off from speaking to them , and see what happens.

Ok,Well its hard for me to do this they only just started about a wekk ago it maybe cus im 24/7 on the net maybe i dno but when we came back from USA they started doing this im not sure what i should do

You should talk to your mum/dad. Ask them what's the matter then you can sort it out.

It just comes worse then they will probaly start saying are you changig and stuff like that i just cant face up to that

You should then , stand up to yourself. Take deep breathes, if you do not like what is saying. If you start feeling angry and want to cry, it is not your fault. If they say something you do not like, go in your bedroom and deeply think about the situation.

What should i think about becasue when im really ped off i usealy lisen to music

Okay well, since it's recent I think there must have been something that's happened to inituate the change in this behaviour, and you maybe even know what it is but you just don't want to openly admit that, that's the reasons.

Either way, at the end of the day it's wrong of your parents to simply neglect you and not speak to you etc. as it's unfair and there are for more effective and mature ways to deal with situations that arise like this.

I say you simply speak to your parents about the whole situation and tell them exactly how you feel. If you maybe think you won't be strong enough to say it all face to face, why not write them a letter? That way you can think out everything you want to get out and say, rather than letting spur of the moment nerves etc. get the better of you. By writing a letter, it will also allow you to say everything more easily and it'll come out better.

At the end of the day, their going to have to start speaking to you again whether they like it or not. If you, yourself feel you have a problem with your internet usage - then do something about it. You can easily regulate your others and there is plenty of other things to do than sitting online, schoolwork, sports, join a club etc.

Your just going to have to be strong and deal with any issues that they bring up and face up to any problems they have with you. You cant just change who you are like that, but it may just be they think your quite inconsiderate at times, or that you should start helping out more or something along the lines of that.
