Faimly Problems

I'm not really close to my Dad, because of my parents divorce and his engagement he's getting married in 3 months. Well before my formal he called me up to talk and then he was talking about how he had to go to a thoat specialist. I wasnt too worried until he turned up at the dance. He doesnt look well and his voice has gone all husky, and hes been smoking for years. My soccer coach is the doctor that refered my dad, and hes kind been avoiding me latley. He used to care when I wasnt at trainingg but now its like =|, he doesnt notice.
I think my dad might have thoat cancer but I cant face him about it and I cant ask my coach. IDK its just really upsetting and I cant talk to my 'friends' because they arent awfully nice to me anymore and they all have 'perfect' families. What should I do?

i know your parents are devorced, but i should imagine she knows about whats happening.

didnt your dad tell you about it when he said he was going to the specialist?

if there is nobody else that you can ask, your going to have to ask your dad. it might be hard to talk to him about it, but what if he has got it and you never know until its too late? i really think you should ask your father about it and get the whole story.

Just get into a convo with him and ask how he is keeping etc and see if you can get an answer out of him

My mum has no idea, nor would she care.
I dont really want to have the conversation, Were going out for a family dinner with my sisters for a birthday so i'll have to see him. I dont think my sisters kwhats going on, but I dont want to overeact. I'll see what happens
