YouTube: Google Takeover?

Google may be buying YouTube in the near future :o

Alot of money involved, but do the YouTube owners really wanna give up the site? I mean they dont do it for profit, so it must be their pet project. Money probably isnt a major concern, but you never know... IT IS $1.6 BILLION (thats 855,040,000 pounds fyi)

Any thoughts?

I guess on advertisements :s they're not doing it for fun obviously

They get tons on advertising

They advertise videos like for NBC and stuff and also other sites

So many hits a day = lots of money

yeah.. i find that hard to believe cuz i know when i'm on google, i'm not clicking on ads and i'm pretty sure most people i know dont either

but that's the only way they can possibly be making money, so i guess people do click them
