to wear rune do you have to do the dragon slayers quest or do you only have to be level 40 defence

You have to do Dragon slayer to be able to wear the Rune PLATE. Any other item of rune is fine, as long as you have 40 def.

D slayer for plate, 40 defence for the rest.

to wear rune plate you must have done dragon quest for all other types of rune just 40 defence..

The easiest way is to not let it touch you and you range or mage it.

Its quite easy, just melee it, remember to bring a anti-dragon shield.

By the way, its chestplate.

I killed the dragon with just a power ammy, rune scimmy and the shield at lvl 63 as I was afraid to lose my items, and I did it. The food I used was lobsters.

I killed it with full iron at lvl 45. Used the anti shield too.

Ate tuna.

I used full addy, a hand of lobby's, str ammy and str pot.

The dragon only hit like 5 max, It's so easy,
