Earth is decaying

I watched a program about this a few months ago, it says our Magnetic Field is decaying and only has a few hundred/thousand years left.

I've known about this for a while what will happen when the magnet is gone then?

we'll lose the moon, and the moon keeps our oceans/tides in check.

so basically, natural disasters will happen all the time.
