Ok everyone, this is how it stands:

I'm bit stuck on how to shade the hull and the floor pattern. +rep for sensible [useful] answers.

That's looking really good. Best pirate ship I've seen so far :D
I'm not really sure how to do the shading either, But obv. is would get darker as it goes down. Are you gonna do planks going horizontaly? Then you can give them a grain :P
10/10 so far as it looks funky. I don't wanna post a picture of my habbo cause a. It looks pretty stupid and b. You've got lots to do anyway!
