eg.
234987 would be bobba'd as would 123456

Yep. It's been like that for awhile.. also the otherday I typed something like... lol@YouGUYS or something.. and it bobba'd it out.. :\

So you can't give out numbers still & it's the same for emails.

I guess its so people doesnt give out phone numbers or credit card numbers w.e.
It's appropriate that when you turn the filter off email addresses and numbers should still be bobba'd. It's about personal safety
