best way to discover new musics?

what would be the best way to discover new songs/bands/music?

tbh to me i would say the radio but then again, they overplay songs a lot and makes some things get old...

soyeah. o_o


any good ideas?

Most of mine usually comes from magazines, last.fm and on music channels. Oh and from my friends but then you need friends with similar music taste for that to work. Myspace is good aswell if you can be bothered to look over loads of pages. But yeah thats about it..

but yeah i mainly get mine from friends & nme.

Mostly either from friends (although most of them don't like my music much) or by looking at who the people I like collaborate with - that's always a good one because you get artists who are similar but their own thing, and actually led to me finding one of my favourite bands.

my friends have introduced me to a lot of music, aswell as last.fm, magazines and television itself :)
