There's this girl I like.

Hi, me and a group of my friends went on a trip to France a few days back. On the coach home, my friend Kate asked me what I liked in a girl, and I did the same to her. We practically described each other's personality traits. I am nervous of how to ask her out/express my feelings.

This is my first attempt:

"Kate.. I'm so sorry. But I think I'm falling for you. You are genuinely one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. I just want you to know I will always be there for you, and hope you will be there for me.

It's ok, if you don't feel the same way about me, we can still be friends."

I'd say, don't go for the 'speachy' type of thing, make it about a sentance or two :) Also, just go for it! Maby flirt a little and she may get the message ;)

Could just say "You know when we said what we liked in a partner.. could you guess who mine was?"

or something like that.

Or yeah flirting might do it.

Don't make it so long and wordy.. Drop hints, flirt a little and if she doesn't pick them up then you should just tell her in a few sentences so she doesn't feel so awkward..
