It's the plural of medium, a medium being something through which information blah blah is communicated. I'm sure that sums up the list.

a medium is like - TV or a Radio or an advertisement

and media is everything combined - tv, radio, newspaper, anything to do with advertising

Dont you do it in school? We have do a magazine and anaylise some. And watch films.

We had to do media is PSHE!

Btw, Media is a form of mass communication. Newspapers, magazines, direct mail, billboards, bus signs, radio, television and internet are some important media that carry advertising.

in my media studies class we've studied elements of an advertisement (TV one and a magazine one) and what makes a good advertisement and then we've created our own advertisements and filmed them and everything and finally we're study different eras of music

Same as above.
You just study Media generally o_O

you have coursework on things like, soap operas, reality tv, disaster movies etc :)
