Nope he's alive beause he's recently released "yahh" if I'm right :P.
Normally Wikipedia would pick up on it straight away and it doesn't say he is on that.

Yep been hearing these rumours too. Apparently 'Souljah boy' (The original one) got someone to shoot him for copying his name, I doubt it's true though.
