Journalism
Hey, Im hoping to become a journalist once i leave school, and im not really sure what you need or where i would go to persue this.
Ive never really thought about doing this before but recently after getting inspiration (Dawn porter) I'd love to work in the media and stuff.
Anybody know where i could go for advice etc about becoming a journalist?

Well, it'd be a great idea to get BTEC Media.
-
Just stick to good qualifications such as English Language, Politics, MFL, etc... the media aren't after people with degrees and BTECs in media and journalism and all that. They prefer to hire people with good English or Politics degrees.

I would do Media , MfL and history

English, MFL, History and Media

See if local newspapers have opportunities for junior columnists. You move on from there. Working with a local newspaper as part of a youth team is a stepping stone into them accepting you as a full-time employee once you've finished education. No one will accept you if you have no A-Levels. You work your way up through the sizes of newspapers.

Hmm ok, Ill have a look round.
I (hope) I have good english, i think my punctuality and spelling is good etc. Im just not too good at thinking, I can proove interesting points though and subjects that other people would think "ooh, lets read/watch that".

I'd advise studying at A-Level: English Language, Media Studies and Journalism if they have that at a college near you.
Good luck with it all!
