The Government wants to introduce ID Cards for every cizten in the country within a few years. Do you agree that the government should have access to your fingerprints and other details even if you haven't done anything wrong? Do you think our government is trustworthy enough to keep our data safe? Do you think ID Cards will help fight terrorism and crime?

I'm still undecided although it's quite scary, it's like Big Brother...
if you havn't done anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about. They could just find murderers by taking a sample of DNA at the crime scene, and then they would be able to match it up to the exact person.
i'm still undecided, i'm a bit worried about the state possibly having too much information on us and i don't really understand what you'd use them for. The french have them and they carry them everywhere and are IDd for lots of things, some which i think are pretty pointless.
Just another way for the british being able to keep everyone on a leash...but not living in england anymore i dont really mind:eusa_danc

I doubt you will be able to hack into it, and it would be VERY VERY VERY hard to get into it.. LOTS of tests would have to be done to make sure you cant and they wouldnt release it if u were in danger
The same has been said/done with the current systems in place, they all fail either through hacking and stupid mistakes. Recently we have had about 4 cases of millions of details going missing.Quote:
