If your doing it for the xp then dont mine it. Power mine iron or something that spawns more often.
Also you should mine other stuff whilst mining the addy, say if you are at Al-Kharid mining spot, you can mine addy AND mith which will make things a tad more interesting for you..
Heros guild has a couple of addy, also wilderness.
