Bruised/Sprained Fingers

i can hardly type at like 5am this morning my mate jumped on me for a laugh
his whole body went onto my hand and 3 of my fingers bent back,
there not broken, badly bruised.
think they have pulled like 20 or whatever musceles because even as i type this i am in pain.
everytime i move my hand its sore, i can move my fingers though i can on move them to a certain point, i think a few musceles have snapped, i am typin this with 1 hand.
how long will it take to heal and what should i do?

best thing is to check if any bones are fractured.
may not feel broken, but it could be.

I think you should get them checked out at the local A&E first. You could also tape them together with bandage tape which will make them feel more comfortable and take painkillers. It will take a awhile to heal though and typing is a bit awkward with taped up fingers but worth it. :)

I bandaged it up, My dad said it was badly bruised as it happened to him a while back, thanks both +rep.
Any idea when it will be healed?

Bandage them together tightly to prevent them moving to cause you pain, once they're pressed up they will recover quickly, just num it with a bit of ice if it hurts that much, also try not to use that hand, if you need to type use your other hand etc. Get well soon. :D

Just bandaged them there nowm i numbed it with ice when i just hurt them and i am using my right hand to type which is the hand not hurt.

That's alright :P I remember when I went to punch my bro but he put his elbow up and it bent a few of my fingers back, it was hurting for a few days then they started to recover. ;)

Well if you can take the bandage off easily it is a good idea to soak it in the shower or bath and try to keep it moving once a day. I would say about 7-10 days for some improvement depending on the bruising but try to to keep it moving when you can. If it gets worse though or doesn't seem to be impriving I would see a doc to get an Xray. :)

I would put ice on it first then tape/bandage it up, because if its bruised most likely it will be swollen a little, also do somthing to keep ur mind off it typing might not be the best idea, maybe get some chips and watch a movie, although u said its 5am or somthing... so maybe sleep it off ? and if it hurts in the mournin watch a movie or somethin
