It looks really good but I think it could certainly be added too. Also I think that you shouldnt make it darker all around the edges so it actually looks like a patch but so that when you line them it it looks like a road and like what has been said above, corner patches, junction batches, zebra corossings etc you could even add curbs and add more furni which could add to the traffic theme with traffic lights, i.e. roadworks.

I like the one with the line, but they are both good well done :)

It looks quite good except for the fact that it doesn't tile properly, the way you've shadded it doesn't let it flow properly when used as a tile set.

Looks like its been shaded 2 much,.
