Get rid of either of these because it's not used for what it's meant for. People just use post counts to degrade each other and it's the same with reputation.

You have the option, as VIP to disable your reputation.
Post counts just shows the progress of a user and how long they have been on forum. e.g high post count - usually long time on the forum
low post count - usually newer to the forum

And post count is good as it shows newer members who are more likely to know any questions they may have,
That'll make owning a forum, being part of a forum and the running of a forum pointless. It'll just be a glorified, multiroom guestbook! There isn't even a major problem with the two, I haven't seen any crisis at least concerning the two... It would be an incredibly pointless change that hasn't got any justification behind it.
In any instance that this occurs you should report the post using the report post tool. There is no reason to remove reputation or post count simply because one or two people use it to make themselves look bigger than others. Simply report any post that breaks the rules. There is no reason what so ever to remove the post count and I doubt reputation would get removed either. :)Quote:
