Dropping a core GCSE for another?

Right im now 3 days into my GCSE options for year 10 & 11
I really dont like Resistant Materials, and would love to drop it for Food technology Do you think they should let me do this??

People changed their options during the first few days when I was at school, so I don't see why they wouldn't let you.

Since it's the first few days of your GCSE's if you talk to your teacher about it, they might be able to do something about it. But you should act quickly before they say it's too late to change your mind.

at my school you could change them up until end of september

If you're going to do it, do it now before its too late. Most schools let you before you start the actual course.

Do it now. Because if you wait a month, your gonna have a hell of alot of catching up to do, and the teacher might say, Oh well you've missed the big bits you cant come in.
And then your done for :(

Yeah, go to your Head of Year (If you have one)... and just ask them. They're bound to say yes seeing you've only just got back!

resistant materials isnt a core gcse, so you should be allowed to do it anyway

Should be able to. People in my school were changing up to 6months into the course then they had to catch up which was quite funny watching them get so stressed

make sure you pick the right subjects because if you keep changing constantly they'll get rli annoyed
