Router freezing?

Im having serious troubles with my internet at the moment. I've come to the conclusion that my router is freezing as when i try to visit the router login page via any computer in the house, it takes ages to load and sometimes doesnt even load at all. Im left for ages constantly resolving website addresses. Anyone heard of this before? Im also thinking of upgrading to wireless N, tips?

As far as im aware Wireless N isn't a fully established standard yet, itd be best to wait a bit.

Our router does this often, we don't know why, but we have to turn it off and on again every week or so.

Hmm, it's very odd, its only started doing it a couple of weeks ago, and i see know reason for it to suddenly change, I restart it when it gets to much, but even then it doesnt work straight away.

Its belkin, about 2-3 years old I guess, and i'm with orange :/

Well, I imagine buying any router would be an upgrade.

Router's really are cheap, and I imagine you could contact your ISP for a new one.

(well, I can and I am with a mobile telecom provider for broadband)

There lies your problem. There terrible. Because there hardware in the exchanges (not just that, they use LLU, which is terrible.) isn't able to keep up with the demand and they don't maintain them regularly, there greedy and don't care about their customers, even watchdog invited them to come on their show and Orange refused. and there's actually a web forum about the problems people get!

I recommend you switch ISP's straight away! ;)

Ps, Be* Broadband FTW! (I use to have Orange, switched because of terrible service and terrible speeds)
