Why is my ipod so ****** up?

Ever since i installed itunes 8 my ipod has been ******* about, lost all my music 4 times and now itunes wont even recognise it :l

WHATS WRONG?

Your iPod may have a fault? You mention iTunes 8 so I'm not sure. But many other users have had no problems, you updated it to 8.0.1?

Edit; The only other solution I have is to contact Apple.

Screw it, I'm going to return it.

Well ok, but meh. You should just ask them for like support and see what they say and if any fixes. Only return it, if theres no fix or whatever.

Happened to my mate, got it working after an hour, tbh its worth it LOL

Lol, back with a 120GB silver classic and a £50 itunes voucher to make up for the £50 difference in price. The guy was like 'you'll have ti make an appointment at the genius bar for tech support' at which point my dad was like 'it took us 45mins to get a parking space, 20 mins queing up and now you're telling us we have to come back tomorrow?!' so they were just like 'k w/e here's a new one'
