I was watching that embarassing teenage bodies thing on tv, and it was saying how loud music can damage our ears, but how do I know what volume is safe? It said anything above 85db (i think it's db) is unsafe... but i don't know what that means...

What :S that would depend on what media player you're using and what your speakers are set to lol, I could turn mine right up and have WMP at half volume and still be well above 85db
I wouldn't worry too much though, 85 is fairly high and you'd need to be playing it pretty constantly at that level to damage yourself
My ipods always on full and i have it on most of the day. And when I'm at home i have it on my ipod speakers which are on full volume too. hasn't done me any harm :D
@dollop; its long term damage, so if you keep that up for a year or so, you will feel the damage later on in life.
Not yet. It will seriously damage your ears if you keep it up.
But yeah I have iPod on full volume on the bus, to drown out the sound of chavs arguing, but I just got new earbud earphones, and they block out external noise. So I will be playing my music very low in a paranoid fashion.
lol I've been doin it like that for well over a year
If after you have been listenning to your music, your ears start ringing then you have had it too loud!
I just watched the thing about loud music :O
Wonder how many decibels full volume on ipod is?
