Is it any good? I've seen it has bad reviews. Also, is Midnight Club LA better or worse?

midnight club has always sucked compared with nfs. my bro wants to get nfs but im trying to persuade him not too as nfs games have gone over the top with modifying but i would go for nfs out of the 2.
