When you run out of your 48 hours you can order Xbox Live using a credit card and it comes instantly so you could perhaps ask your parents and you don't even need to go shopping ;)

You can do this on your Xbox or on Xbox.com

ye its probably because of the usa uk difference. i know it wasent used cause it came iwth my fable 2
