Now, the music I downloaded from iTunes store is that protected aac?

Yeah, but you can remove the DRM and convert it to MP3.
How so?
Using a program like MyFairTunes, although, that X-Fi MP3 player supports the DRM'd music anyway.
Ah so I could put my iTunes music on anyway?

EDIT: Oh wait (un-protected) lol, yeh you'd need to remove the protection! :P
One easy way to do it is to put all the music you've Purchased into a new Playlist, burn the Playlist to an 'Audio Disk' (Check this in Edit > Preferences) and then Import the CD as a high-quality MP3 (Yet again Edit > Preferences) et viola.
a few years back when there weren't many programs for this i just wrote a cd and ripped it again in wmp into mp3 format, worked a piece of cake. A rewritable wouldn't cost so much depending on how many songs..
I'd go for a program though, save you the hassle. Google is your friend!
I have a program called NoteBurner, which makes a virtual CD drive and you can burn from iTunes onto this virtual drive, which then puts the songs into a folder on your PC.
