Rip in IFO mode goddamit then use the .IFO file as the input to your conversion software.

it is in IFO format, but dvd decypter splits it up into these 0.99GB files, which is annoying.

Follow this from step 8, then you'll get a avi file. Then delete all the .vob & .ifo files.
