Try others like
prompt wteva
or
color 0a
See if you get the same kind of error, if you are offline ipconfig will not work as it will not have an IP from the DNS Server yet.
Try windows repair,
are you the admin and is your computer connected to a network?
Insert ur windows CD and see if theres a repair option :) looks dodgy to me.
I'm the admin, my computer did not come with a windows cd as it was pre-installed.
ipconfig, ipconfig /all - nothing works.
FIXED THE PROBLEM!
For those with the exact error I have, please do this to fix it:
Go to System Properties>Advanced settings>Enviroment Variables
Find the system variable called "path" and and then just edit it and copy paste this in:
%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\Sy stem32\Wbem;
Close your current command prompt if open and try it again, should be working perfectly!
