This is a music-based social network layout I designed a while back for a client but he backed out at the last minute. I forgot all about it until I found it tonight while searching through folders.

quite easy to see why the client dropped out at the last minute.
I hate it. It's verging on boring to be quite honest. The colour scheme is terrible and the boxes are just dull. You need to move away from your typical designs. Overall, 4/10 for effort.
You've taken the Web 2.0 styling and tried to turn it into something old fashioned.
And failed miserably might I add. Just by looking at the bottom left part, thats obviously what style you wanted at first but you reverted to old ways. It needs to have more grit and character, instead of a bland and basic layout which has been simplified to even more simple.
