Underwater Volcano near Tonga

wouldn't it be a bit unsafe being that close? lol

While it isn't exactly safe, it isn't as dangerous as being that close to an on land volcano. The magma will be cooled by the water on it's way to the surface, so most of it will already form rock before breaking the water surface.

and yeah it does look underwater, just the smoke and ash rising above it.
