You can see in the Opera, Chrome, Spotify and the folder icon that the icons are corrupt or distorted or eaten by a shark in some way and look crap. Every other graphic on the PC is fine, just the icons (in the start menu as well as the desktop). Got any ideas?

Just googled this and it turns out that if you change the screen resolution it should fix this (and then change it back if you wish).
Right click on the desktop >properties >settings and adjust the resolution

Lol, I deleted the iconcache file and it hasn't recreated itself... nor does it seem to have done anything :(
