At the time, he was the best in the country.
I think, that if Liverpool sign Glen Johnson, Stewart Downing and maybe someone like Kevin Nolan (cut price surely) - all average/good players then the depth in the squad will push for competitions next term.
You've got to be realistic; Silva is going to go for about 30-40m and Tevez will not come cheap either (and his wages are stupid (if you don't get him on loan from MSI that is)). Johnson is a good shout, a bit weary on Downing and Nolan is a risk - but one that shouldn't cost too much.
Just my thought. I'd like to see Nolan at Arsenal to be honest. I rate him highly.
Valencia are in all sort of debt, so they may be forced to sell. Where would nolan fit in?Quote:
