Cheque clearance

Hey,

I paid in a cheque today and it's for a considerable amount and I need it ASAP. I should've asked for it to be sent electronically rather than by cheque but anyway.

Halifax says it will clear on Tuesday - has anyone known cheques to clear earlier than the banks say it will?

I don't think any of mine have cleared before the date the bank gave me. Later sometimes, sure. Never early though =[

Mine usually don't. If you take it into the bank they will usually just put the money in your account right away?

You're in America though, it's different over here :'(

Yeah they say it normally takes 3 - 5 working days although saturday is a working day so you mite get it by then maybe not
