I assume you mean chipped or homebrew enabled with Backup Launcher channel. I have the latter and yes it's rather easy to do :)

It is easy if you know what your doing, it was easy on my first wii due to no complications on my 2nd wii it took ages as it was 3.4E and all these work arounds

I have only softmodded my Wii, just use Bannerbomb and you'll be fine, it literally takes five minutes.
