How did TANKS change/affect WW1?

History homework and im stuffed :P

I have to write atleast 250 words about How TANKS changed/affected WW1.

Any people out there give me some Information to put it together?

If we're talking about their direct affect on world war one it didn't really have any. At first the Germans saw these horrific machine things and were terrified out of their minds. But tanks were a big let-down. Most of them got stuck in the mud.

They drove over people and shot big stuff at them.

Write it like you're supposed to write it.

"Well, uhm, er, for one, they couldn't be blown up. And they just crushed peoples' asses because they couldn't be stopped. Oh and uhm, they could uhm, yeah, you know, blow things, uhm, up, with their amazing bombs, and stuff."

:D There's 30 words to start off with.

They infact hardly effected World War I, they were inefficent and often sunk in the mud and secondly were only used a few times in battle.

They had huge arms, they were the massive zombies that would sometimes pick up concrete or logs and throw stuff at survivors. They could also run very fast and kill people with one hit kills.

Thats about as helpful as I can be dude.
