The reason why Labour has ranked this Country in so much debt is because of the dam torries. If they did what Labour had done over the last 12 years then we wouldn't be in all of this mess. :eusa_wall

My family is a hard working family, the families I know are hard working families. I live in Liverpool, supposedly one of Labours strongholds - I can tell you now, people are FED UP with high taxes and constant nanny stateism from this government. Since Council tax was introduced by the "torries" (no surprise there!) it has gone up year by year. It hits pensioners and the poorest in our community the hardest, not to mention an increasing no. of middle income families.
Well i tell you something too! my family is also a hard working familly. Not a single soul in our family have been on benefits. (Even when my brother was made redundant by BT for 3 months he could bring himself to sign on because he felt it wasn't right in doing so) how crazy you might find this, it's a true story.
In my area, the general feeling about Labour is all good, however, having said that, there's areas like CT, income support where people feel that this isn't helping them.
These people, even having said that they are not happy with some of the issues with the current party in power (labour of course) they say they couldn't bring themselves to vote for the torries because they thought they weren't serious and straightforward enough when it comes to what they will do if they ever make it back into power. Many, believe that they (torries) are not being honest with the bills they plan to put into action if they came into power.

With you, you seem to turn a blind eye on things thatcher went wrong with when she was in power. What do you think the main reason is that the torries haven't won any of the last 2 elections? Because i would like to know.
The Poll Tax was the right thing do to, whether or not the Council Tax system is right I do not know, however why have Labour not rolled this tax back then or lowered this tax? - under Labour tax has risen far higher than any Conservative government ever had taxes at.
