Sony have scrapped it after director Sam Raimi told them he couldn't creatively meet their summer 2011 release date. Everyone has now pulled out - cast and crew - and there will be a reboot, so they're starting the story from scratch with a new cast. So pissed off.
:O I was looking forward to that as well. Does this mean that it might still happen though?
EDIT: Oh just re-read. I dont think it will be the same with a new cast.
Ah that's wierd, I just googled it a min ago. Yeah that's annoying because I like the current cast.

What is honestly the point? Just because Raimi isn't okay with the script means we have to have a WHOLE NEW REBOOT.

Spiderman was boring any way.
Thank god. Those films were awful.
2 great films and a decent third.
