Driving Lessons

Does anyone know of any national driving schools that I haven't thought of yet, or if you live in the north east any local ones.

I've looked around BSM, AA, RED, Bill Plant and some other more local ones that i've seen going around.

Cheapest I have so far is £19.50 an hour with UKDrive, that being the standard lesson price after introductory offers and whatnot

You'd probably be be better off going with a local private instructor rather than one of those big companies, not just for price but for better tuition too.

Yeah I agree, go small and private. Normally the more you pay the better tuition you get. You might not want to pay £22 a lesson but if you only have 25 lessons on £22 opposed to 30 at £20 thats a saving of like £50 etc.

i went private and my man was wicked £17 an hour too

i went private i was paying £27 a lesson, Was quite alot to be fair but it was decent. which mattered overall

22 an hour! jesus! i was 15 per lesson in a block of 5. thats the reason why i avoided big driving schools.

i got first 3 for 30 so 10 each then 17 from then on

local companys are better than global ones, all global ones care about is the dosh whereas local ones tend to care about the learner more.

I got first 4 for £60 then each 10 for £200. I thought £20 per lesson was the cheapest you'd ever get!

Rumour has it the big companies like the AA falsely claim you're not ready for your test so you will book more lessons thus more $$ for them. Could of course be rubbish, but ya never know. Smaller ones are better, I'm with a local one called EezyDrive.
