You probably watched it dubbed.
Just leave it now. he does watch subs. ( Reborn ) but if he likes watching dubs just leave him because hes not gonna change his mind. Unless its a terrible dub like Viz's dubs or 4kids.

And there you have it. waiting till i can buy the blu ray before i watch it.
