You may have to pay for it.
Then again I dropped my iPhone last week and took it into O2 who said it would be £130 to be repaired, yet they sent it back with no charge :D
So it's worth taking it into the store, but you may have to pay.
Use it as an excuse to buy a better phone. I'm thinking Desire or Nexus One.
I want milestone but i woulnt mind a G1 if they can fix it.
Really Ross? The Nexus or Desire has better specifications. Twice the RAM, faster processor.
Need keyboard :o and milestone is niceeee
How broken is it?
If it's just the screen or something repair it yourself, get an LCD off eBay for like £20.
I dropped my G1 a year ago, T-Mo wanted like £150 to repair it so I just went on Google, found a service manual for it and then bought an LCD off eBay, the screen came in about 2 days, took about 30 mins to fit the new one.
Ross. I'm sorry, but if you really want a good phone, you'd be much better off getting a Desire or N1.
The G1 is terribly dated now. If it can be repaired at no cost, that's awesome. But if you need to pay a significant fee, it might be worth thinking about a new phone.
Dunno why people are telling him to upgrade, if he's on a contract for example he'll have to wait or fork out £££ for a new phone.
