HELP: Is this ripped?

Hey folks,

as some of you might know, I'm member of the jury of the German equivalent to Stray Pixels.
In this monthly competition, the following picture got third:

However, some people pointed out that this picture is actually ripped - unfortunately they couldn't prove their suspicion. Since there were a couple of reasons that confirmed it though, I'm now hoping that somebody here knows whether this is ripped or not.

I'd really appreciate any help as I've never seen the picture before myself - and I know quite a lot of alterations.

I've never seen it myself before, but i don't tend to surf german forums, its not exactly "great" its small alts with basic shading and transparency, but if he can't provide even the slightest wip just tell him that unfortunately he cannot win as there is no proof.

It's nothing special in all fairness. No reason to doubt he hasn't done it unless someone can prove otherwise.

cause it looks like theres a self branding on the laptop saying SE

It's nothing special, I know.

However, the only proof he could provide was this screenshot:

The weird thing about it: It says that the image was made on the 18th of january - but he won this month' competition.
One can easily conclude that he downloaded the original alteration in january and then just slightly altered it for the competition.

His name is @Christian - so nothing with 'SE'.

I'm sure I've seen that on this forum here before... eurgh I can't remember who it was but I'm 100% sure I've seen it on here before...

is there any pixel artists that go by SE something rings a bell but i can remember (n)

The sign that looks like "SE" could be the Windows-Sign though..

By the way, another proof: The picture was made in january, yet it features recent Habbo clothes.

nah its got definite separation between the S and theres no lines on the end of the E + anyone with common sense knows windows don't make branded laptops just the system ops.
