well they are going to have to show it some time, now is as good as ever. I know some people may think it's insensitive but if you had known someone who had just been killed would you really be settling down in front of corrie to watch knowing full well what was going to happen! I know lets just watch some lighthearted comedy with Harry Hill.
I don't think they can win either way - if they were to show it and the content contained a lot of shooting (which I am sure it does) you can guarantee loads of people would complain given the events of today. I think they did the right thing as it is just respectful and it avoids the complaints about disrespect rather than just those moaning they have to wait one more night to see it.

Shame it had to be canceled but it was the right thing to do.
Something similar happened like this before. I can't remember which soap (Corrie or EastEnders), but they had to cancel a whole storyline which involved a child being kidnapped because of what happened with Maddie McCann :) I think that might of been Corrie too. The difference here is that they've already filmed the episodes, and they have to show them sometime and seeing as they said it will be on each day this week it makes it all the more difficult!
They said the same with 24 after the 9/11 attacks.
