Don't use Windows Media Player.
Use Exact Audio Copy or iTunes and rip them into 320kbps MP3 files with Variable Bit-Rate.
Rip them to FLAC :p
When you click on the CD on the left hand side and you get the track lists up you'll see an "Import Settings" button in the bottom right hand corner, click it and then use these options:
Import Using: MP3 Encoder
Setting: Custom...
- Bit Rate: 320Kbps
- Tick "Use Variable Bit Rate Encoding (VBR)
- Quality: Highest
- Sample Rate: Auto
- Channels: Auto
- Stereo Mode: Join Stereo
- Smart Encoding unticked
- Filter Frequencies Below 10 Hz ticked
And Stephen, FLAC is nice, but not very easy to copy to things x_x
320kbps is a must for CD quality.
